I have gone by loadsa different names on the net

SalStar (which a friend gave me) Icecreamgirl, which was a play on the Cornflake Girl by Tori Amos but on of my jobs from my student days was selling ice-cream (yummy) hence the name.

Smudge, no story behind that just a spur o the moment kinda name.

But the nick I have been using for a while now is actually what we call our car, it's even printed on the number plate! We have a little green MGF roadster hence the Lilgreenmomo.

when I was little all my grandmother would make one of those sock monkeys for each one of us. I was the youngest by a few years... so my grandma was like OH Lauren we must make you your sock monkey. When she gave it to me i fell in love with it, and i named it sokow (obviously i wasnt that great at spelling for i so smartly in my 4 year old brain named the monkey after socks! cause thats what it was made of, of course!)

So since about 1st grade all my accounts have been sokowgirl! except alot of people always think it is soccer girl when i tell it to them :)

p.s- sokow still chills on my bed with his sister monkey sarah... they are slightly beaten up, sokow has lost his limbs a few times and sarah is a little dirty but they are still hanging around.

Dear Nancy & All:

Good question!

Ten years ago, when my kids began going to elementary school, I noticed another Mom wearing a jacket from the company where my husband works. (This was unusual because the company is not that large. Also, our husbands had worked there for 20-25 years and their paths had never crossed -- strange.) We struck up an easy friendship, which we have to this day. She commented on the fact that I was always "happy" or had a smile on my face (this is still true). She named me "Happy Jan".

Another name, that I don't use but used for many years in my other life as a secretary at Michigan Bell (remember the good old Bell system?) was "The Divine Mrs. M". My boss gave me that name after reading an article about Bette Midler (The divine Miss M). He cut the title of the article out and placed it on my name plate that was on my desk. I enjoyed having that name.

A current nick name happened when I chaperoned my kids' thespian group to a two-day festival. We drove to the festival in separate cars and the director began calling me the "Queen of the Caravan". I enjoy that name, too.

Hi Guys:
Well mine is easy too.

In Spanish to write Francisco in short is Fco.
And Mex is short for Mexico.
So there you go Fcomex

I wanted to have the screen name Pacomex but it was already taken in aol. Paco is nickname for Francisco.

Take care

Francisco

Mine is fairly simple, I am a fan of three great lady singers!

B is for Barbra Streisand, who I hold in the highest regard and have seen live MANY times!

C is for Carly

D is for Dionne Warwick

and fan is because I am a fan of those three fascinating women

"PRONICD"

Cor some of you have really interesting stories to tell - mine alas is quite boring..... I needed to register a name for ebay and everything I tried was gone so I made up the name from the two businesses that I own:
Prophoto - Queens Park Studio and Ni-Cd Services.
The first one should be fairly obvious - I'm a professional photographer.
The second one stems from my previous career about 25 years ago now! which was as an electronics engineer. This business is very small and involves the manufacture and refurbishment of special rechargeable battery packs - yes you've guessed it - mainly for other pro photographers, but we do special battery packs for all manner of *** equipment now.
So when I re-registered for the new Carly Forum I just chose that for simplicity's sake. (Can't actually remember what I used for the old forum.)

Cheers Russell F

I like the viney raceme flowing wisteria plant. It is a hard plant to get to flower properly. You usually see it growing on old mansions.
Also it was a title from a song by Dan Fogelberg. DF, liked how the word sounded and he crafted a ficticious song about a "Wysteria".. it's kind of haunting and mysterious.
Most of his early writings are like unique pieces of art.
One of my fav singer songwriters.
